Auto Journal is a Chrome extension that creates personalised daily journal entries by organizing users' browsing history. The entries are automatically posted to the user's Google Calendar to provide a seamless journaling experience.

Data Collection

Auto Journal collects and stores the following user data:

• Browsing history - Needed to generate relevant journal content based on sites visited.
• Google Calendar events - Read and edit access requested to post journal entries and share with users.

We will notify users and update this policy if new data needs arise. User consent is required before collecting additional data.

Use of Data

The user data allows Auto Journal to provide an automated and seamless daily journaling experience. Browsing history is used solely for generating relevant journal entry content for the user. Google Calendar access enables seamless posting of entries.
User data is not used for any other purposes beyond the core journaling functionality of Auto Journal. It is not shared externally without explicit consent.

Data Security

User credentials are protected through Google Calendar authentication. Passwords are not stored by Auto Journal.

Data is stored securely on Firebase using encryption, access controls, and other security best practices. More details can be provided upon request.

Users can request account deletion and data erasure at any time.

Data Retention

Auto Journal retains user data as long as their account remains active in order to provide ongoing journaling services.

Users can request erasure of some or all data by emailing zidingz@gmail.com. Their data will be deleted from all Auto Journal systems within 30 days.

When a user uninstalls the Auto Journal Chrome extension, their account becomes inactive. Any remaining data will be erased within 90 days ofaccount deactivation.

Auto Journal only accesses user data to provide our journaling service. Data is not shared externally without explicit consent.

This privacy policy may be updated to reflect changes in data handling practices. Users will be notified of any changes before they take effect.
